This award was initiated in 2016 to recognise Cliff’s lifetime achievements in founding the NSW SBF, promoting band music in schools, and promoting Australian music and Australian composers.

The SBF congratulates Clare Brassil, the recipient of the 2019 Cliff Goodchild OAM Scholarship. Clare is based in regional NSW and will be working closely with the SBF management to find ways of delivering the Scholarship sessions throughout the year.
