Dr Luke Gilmour has completed a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Masters in Educational Leadership from UNSW. Luke is Director of Co-Curricular at Cranbrook School in Sydney’s east and up until recently, the Director of Music at Cranbrook.  He is also the former President of ABODA NSW and a member of the ABODA National Executive.  As a graduate of  Symphony Australia’s Conductor Development Program, he has worked with the Adelaide Symphony, Auckland Philharmonia, Melbourne Symphony and the Sydney Sinfonia.

Luke has developed a reputation for building strong and vibrant instrumental programs through previous engagement as Director of Bands at Newington College,  Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and the DEC Arts Unit.  He has worked in the tertiary sector as Associate Conductor of the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Symphony and Guest Conductor of the Conservatorium Orchestra and Modern Music Ensemble. In addition, Luke has been engaged as a guest lecturer in Ensemble Pedagogy and Composition.  As a conference presenter, Luke has been invited to present at ASME’s bi-annual conference as well as the Australian National Band and Orchestra Conference.
